Cross County teams place eight on All Conference
  by coach John Van Kempen

The WCA Knights ran strong in the Heart of Lakes Cross Country meet held in Hawley. Both the girls and the boys placed four runners on the list. The boys finished in second place behind Perham; the girls tied for second but moved to third via the tie breaker criteria behind Pelican Rapids and Perham. For the boys, Ryley Nelson led by a good margin to become the conference individual champion. Jacob Bright followed close behind to finish in third. Seniors Ethan Olson and Drake Swanson had their strongest performance of the season so far and finished in 8th and 15th. Jack Van Kempen was next in 21st, followed by Chase Veldhouse (27th) and Hunter Mickelson (48th).
