Lady Knights defeat W/H-N for fourth straight

The WCA Lady Knights travelled to Wheaton to take on the W/H-N Warriors last Friday night and they came home with a nice win, 75-56. The win was the Knights’ fourth in a row as they come down the home stretch of the regular season.

WCA is now 14-6 on the year coming into their final two weeks of regular season play. Next week, they’ll travel to Brandon on Tuesday night to take on a very good Chargers team (14-6) and will then host Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal (6-16) on Friday night. Both games are big Section 6A matchups that the Knights will want to win to secure a good seed for the upcoming playoffs.

The Knights (6-1, 14-6) are currently on top of the Pheasant Conference standings, just ahead of CGB (4-2, 15-5). W/H-N (3-4, 7-12), Hancock (1-4, 7-9) and Ortonville (1-4, 7-9) are at the bottom of the standings.

WCA will be fighting, in the following two weeks, to maintain their current number two spot in the Section 6A (south sub-section) standings. They are just barely ahead of Underwood at the moment and winning out the season would be big in securing that spot. Parkers Prairie is at the top of the standings.
