Lady Arrows Fall to the Bears 7-5

The Ashby Arrows dropped their second straight game of the season in Bertha on Thursday, May 1 to the Bertha-Hewitt Bears by a score of 7-5. Danielle Holcomb picked up her second loss from the mound allowing nine hits and striking out four Bertha-Hewitt batters. Offensively the Arrows were led by Amanda Johnson who went four for four with two doubles and one RBI. Picking up a hit a piece were Kelly Falk, Andrea Moe, Danielle Holcomb, Josie Kent and Hayley Barry. “Defensively we weren’t quite as sharp today. We had our chance in the top of the seventh with the bases loaded, but we weren’t able to capitalize on it. I know the girls will rebound and be ready for our next game,” stated Head Coach Joey Andreasen.
