Knights golfers finish ninth at DGF Invite

The Knights’ Boys Golf team took part in a Heart O’Lakes Conference meet last Thursday afternoon at The Meadows Golf Course in Moorhead. It was Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton’s home meet.

Playing in strong winds and without seniors Joe Schoenbauer and Alex Coleman, the young Knights finished the DGF Invite in ninth place out of ten teams. Their team score of 210 was 38 strokes behind DGF and Hawley who tied for first place with 172s. Agassiz Valley and Perham tied for third place with 173s.

For the Knights, Logan Pfingsten led the way with a 49, followed by Matt Wagner and Sam Richards with 53s, Beau Kashmark and Luke LaValley each shot 55s and Carson Hunter shot a 63.

The meet’s individual medalist was Agassiz Valley’s Trevor Krueger who shot a 38. His teammate Taylor Hendrickson shot a 40 as did Jay Ripley of Pelican Rapids. Perham’s Barry Nelson and Nic Smith along with Hawley’s Matt Guida all shot 41s.
