He explained how the government helps its citizens, compared and contrasted rules, ordinances and laws, outlined a “typical” day in the role of a state representative, and concluded with a fun activity where the students were able to go through the process of making a law. Their roles in the house and senate wrote the law that ice-cream should be served at all lunches. Since it passed, and governor Mrs. Kreft signed the bill into law, they all got ice-cream the next day during school lunch. It was a fun and meaningful experience for all.
