Kids who participated in Thorson Library’s Kids Club last Thursday took part in some participatory art, using chalk to add color to Teresa Allen’s sidewalk dragon guarding the storm drain in front of the Community Building. The dragon is the beginning of a Placemaking Project to draw attention to the issue of debris entering city storm drains. The project of the Creative Action Network will continue on October 8 with the public getting a chance to paint, draw, or stencil art at storm drains around town. Contact the library for more details.
