Calculating the coefficient of friction
John VanKempen’s WCA physics class hit the slopes last week to determine which type of sled goes the fastest down a hill. They had to determine distance, time and mass then plug those measurements into a formula back in the classroom. VanKempen said it was fun to see seniors acting like elementary students and having fun with the physics of sledding.
