Home at last!
The winner of the 2017 Grant County Herald First Baby Born to Parents Who Live in Grant County Contest, is Gabriel Ruud. Gabriel was so anxious to win the contest he decided to come into this world eight weeks early, on January 15, weighing just four pounds and three ounces. Gabriel had to spend the next eight weeks of his life at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, but is home now with his grateful parents Tony and Amber. He now weighs seven pounds and eight ounces. Gabriel has four sets of grandparents to spoil him: Tammie and Kevin Pattison, Scott and Joyce Ruud, Joe and Joann Felland, and Cory and Linda Mickelson, and five siblings.
